The historic Jai Jagat 2020 global yearlong peace march began on the 2nd of October, 2019, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Ba-Baapu. The padyatrees started from Rajghat, Delhi and was in the Chindwara district on completing 100 days of the walk on the 9th of January, 2020, covering nearly 1,900 km in the process. The film is a montage of different aspects of the foot march; the suffering of the walk, the interactions with Adivasi groups and school children, snippets from the daily lives of the padyatrees. The film, directed by Varoun, also one of the padyatrees, focuses on capturing the different terrains that the padyatrees passed through and is a visual treat in that sense with some incredible shots from Shahbaz and the cinematography team. For most of the padyatrees watching the film the first time, it was an emotional experience for it reminded of the accomplishment and the difficulties of their task and of living 100 days together as a family, a microcosm of the concept of Jai Jagat, cooperating with each other against all hardships in this highly diverse group of 50 people. No wonder most of the padyatrees had moist eyes as the film took them on a reminiscing and nostalgic journey of their own achievement. The film is a short version specifically for the 100 days of the Yatra. A full length documentary will be released at the end of the yearlong journey. To know more, visit: www.jaijagat2020.org/#JaiJagat2020 #onthemove #forpeaceandjustice #nonviolence #oneworld #marchforpeace #globalaction #Gandhi150 #BaaBapu150 #padyatra #solidarity #peace #unity #worldpeace
